We also need cameras in and around public places: hotels, banks, cinemas, shopping malls, stadia, motor parks, etc. Govt and the organised private sector should cooperate on this.
Cameras serve two major purposes:
1. Criminals avoid cameras and camera-monitored places.
2. Cameras aid detection even if criminals go there.
